Colossi of Memnon

Monday night, 9:00 PM (for real) at the Triple (3306 W. Broad St.)

. . . . . . . . THE STYRENES (70's Cleveland proto-punk/art-rock/weirdo outsider rock, featuring members of fellow 70's Cleveland rocker proto-punk bands the ELECTRIC EELS and THE MIRRORS)

. . . . . . . . . . KOHOUTEK (Philadelphia based, DC-rooted free imrov psychedelic abstraction collletive, elements of kraut-y space rock, electronic noise manipulation, free-jazz percussion and improvisation, so good, always a trip)

. . . . . . . . . . CAVES CAVERNS (fuzzed out space jams, JK cut off his hair)
The Styrenes should be real interesting, weirdo outsider rock, pre-punk, art-punk stuff that came out of the 1970's Cleveland punk scene that included The Dead Boys, the Pagans, Pere Ubu, the Electric Eels, Rocket from the Tombs, and the Mirrors. Cool early incarnation of weirdo punk with psychedelic tinges. Listen to DRANO IN YOUR VEINS:

Kohoutek is cool as fuck, great heady space improv, honestly informed and influenced by the canon of space rock psychedelia and the free sounds of jazz improvisation. you will trip out..

Also VOLCANIC DUST corrupting european air travel may have sent us a special gift for this show. If the VOLCANIC DUST prevails, it will be a true gift to anyone who comes to this show.
